Is this online course for training to teach mindfulness to others?
No - Mindfulness - flow is an online mindfulness-based cognitive therapy course, designed for individual and personal use. To train to teach mindfulness you'll need to attend a mindfulness teaching institution. However, Mindfulness - flow is a great way to introduce yourself or get to grips with mindfulness before progressing on to becoming a teacher.
How can I be mindful when stressed?
Through mindfulness we learn to pay attention in a way that increases our ability to respond more effectively to difficult situations; to act instead of react. Mindfulness - flow teaches us these skills and practical techniques we can use daily to be more mindful and reduce our stress.
Is mindfulness a religious?
Mindfulness was brought to western society by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the form of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) therapy. A few years later Professor Mark Williams et al developed Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), derived from the therapies of MBSR and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). MBCT is now established as the clinically recognised form of mindfulness training and is used widely in healthcare as an intervention for recurrent depression. Mindfulness - flow is accessible by anyone, anywhere and widely used. MBCT, and therefore the Mindfulness - flow course does not contain anything of a religious nature. You will not be asked to accept anything, except what you experience for yourself.

How much time will it take to complete the full mindfulness course?
Mindfulness - flow is a unique online Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) course. You'll be guided through 9 modules of mindfulness training, addressing 7 key themes that will help you reduce your stress, anxiety and depression and give you skills to maintain your wellbeing in the long-term. You can participate at your own pace, taking as long as you like to complete the course. To finish the course in the quickest time of 8-weeks, we recommend setting aside 20-30 minutes a day for practice.
